No Audio with MKV Files

I have Serviio set up for use with my Sony BDP-370 Blu-Ray (2 year old, latest firmware). All the files I have tried work except for a bunch of MKV files that I have. I haven't got any other MKV's to see if it is all MKV files...

I read many posts abour re-muxing MKV, but i have no idea if this is necessary or how to do it.

What is the best route to troubleshoot this?

Re: No Audio with MKV Files

Please provide details about one of those particular mkvs. Here's how:

LG OLED55B8PLA | PS4 Pro | Xbox One S | Synology DS214play
Serviio 2.1 package for Synology NAS - with limited hardware transcoding support!

I have the output of ffmpeg... I have found that while my BDP-370 Blu-Ray won't play the audio, my Android tablet does play the audio when I access the DLNA share using a DLNA compatible media player.

Re: No Audio with MKV Files

Your problem sounds like the exact same thing I experienced last week. A video I downloaded on my Android tablet had no problem playing, but when I moved it my Windows 7 pc it was missing one of the audio channels. I could hear the background music to the show, but where the voice was present on the tablet I had some low level hissing instead. I downloaded a codec pack and it sorted out the problem for me. The codec pack was called 'Shark 7'. I don't know if you can update your player's firmware, but it sounds like a codec issue to me. Hope you get it sorted.
