Hi All,

I have just downloaded this for my mac, im trying to play an MP4 file but I only get sound and no video

Does this program support Mp4 out the box or do I need to buy a codec online?

Thank for any help, sorry for the obvious questions im a windows man really, I cant find an equivelant to kazaa codec pack for mac

Serviio is based on ffmpeg encoder that supports lot of formats (http://www.serviio.org/features), no external codec is needed.

Sony Bravia / Serviio should support MP4 files.

Could you provide information about your file format ? see my signature link (ffmpeg -i or MediaInfo tools result).

"High 10" profile of h264 video codec is not supported by Sony Bravia TV. This video stream should be transcoded.

Could you find and edit the ./serviio/config/profiles.xml file ? (make a backup)

Find the <Profile id="sony2012" name="Sony Bravia TV (2012)" extendsProfileId="1"> section on profiles.xml file

On <Transcoding>...</Transcoding> subsection, replace the first <Video>...</Video> element like this :

stll isnt working, ill try restarting but, i restarted the services already

since the restart it can no longer see anyy of my files, the path shows up but displays as empty
