subtitle working with external sub but not for embedded sub

[thenamelessthing]

Hi, I can play mkv with external subtitle but embedded doesn't work.

Anybody can give me help on this?

try to enable detailed log, play the file with subs, find the ffmpeg command when it extracts to subtitles from the file and try to run that command manually - how long does it take?

Basically, disable burned in subs, it should then deliver the extracted srt as a separate resource, which Viera should support

I have disable burnedin sub and tried to play file with external sub without success. I also tried the srtwiz to "repair" the srt too ;-(

in my log I only have these errors I see no log about the file I try to play with sub!!! I see in the webui (Ajax WebUI v1.0.1-c) the Transcoding tab is empty in my browser (chrome and firefox) maybe these error are related to this strange behavior?

Does that file play on the TV with transcoding OFF? If it does then try to select subtitles and see what happens.

Ive just discovered that my TV wont play a SRT file when transcoding is ON but does when OFF, I assume the Panasonic profile needs changing, at least for my TV anyway.
