Video playback on Panasonic DMR-PWT520 Blu-ray player

Hi. I have a Panasonic DMR-PWT520 Blu-ray player and a Windows XP installation of serviio.

It all seems to be set up properly except only music and pictures works on the device

When I try play video I get an error message 'Cannot play video'

Can anyone assist with this? I have tried the Panasonic Viera profile.

try the "Generic DLNA profile" and see if that works.

In some cases the profile provided doesn't cover all models and some tweaking may be required.

Simonmcg - if you've had a chance to try this, then please provide an update, I'm thinking of buying one of these!

I picked up one of these units recently and it is the only device on the network giving me grief.

I have transcoding on and did not have much luck with the panasonic profiles, but the sony bravia 2011 profile works best with mkvs and the aspect ratio looks ok. Unfortunately it does not play avi's.

Ive uploaded the sink info for this bd player to the wiki and below is the log error i see when trying to playack an avi.

First, this is not your avi file and it's not a playback error, but library adding error

Secnd, could you post ffmpeg -i for this file? (zx.tsukikage-ran.12.divx505.ogm)

Regarding the AVI, the 2011 profile transcodes them. Do they play with the 2011/2012 profile?
