2012 Panasionic VT50 Profile

Is it possible for someone to create a profile for the VT50 Panasonic?

I have attached a section of the manual which states what formats it plays so far over USB its handled everything i have chucked at it

there is a profile for it in 1.0 - will be also tweaked even more in 1.0.1

im on version 1 there is no profile for 2012 VT50 so it keeps defaulting to general profile this model doesnt really need any transcoding its plays most formats nativly it plays them all on general profile but one of the subtitle files wont work thats all so i presumed i needed its own profile?

p.s this years VT model plays much more than previous years

Just bought a GT50, basically the same as the VT50.

Playing now with the media player and Serviio version 1.0.1 running under OSX 10.8.1

I also want to change the render profile, but the problem I have is that I can't see my GT50 in the renders profile. When I want to add my TV manually by adding the IP address I can't add it.

I like to test the render profile because I'm having problems with some srt files. Some subtitles will not be pickup by my GT50. Some subtitles are having a very small font.

I just bought a Panasonic 50ST50. I've done all the searching I can for a solution to the the issue, my tv plays MKV's natively so there should be no transcoding issues. But when I load up anything 1080p and let my tv run it in "original" it ends up cropped from all sides!

As a videophile I'm totally freaking out here, please tell me what I need to do to fix it or how I can help get a more specific profile for my (our? I bet the vt50 is super similar) TV.

The "panasonic viera with AVI support" profile seems to work OK, but I'm getting a number of files "file cannot be read" either at the begginning or halfway watching a video. Especially when I try to fast fwd I get that often.

Also - a number of my videos - the sound is terrible. Very echoy and hard to listen to. Most sound great - just a few.. here's the info for the audio in those files:

Sorry I was referring to the non avi supported profile for ST30 and VT30s named "Panasonic Viera With AVI Support" from this thread: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5119#p36038.

I was just wondering if there was any difference to the profiles for the ST30 vs the newer 2012 ST50?

Do not use the profiles from the forum anymore, the profiles bundled with 1.0.1 are based on those and cleaned up a bit. You can try the other Viera profiles in there, some of them play mkv natively.

Panasonic TC-P50ST50

I've been having so many issues I've had to switch out from using Serviio as my main media server through the lan port on my tv (tv selected DLNA) for the moment. I'm using tversity with I assume conflicted codecs through a PS3 and when that doesn't work I use Serviio through the PS3.

1080p videos with huge borders or around 10% cropped off of the sides if zoomed in. It really is painful to get a beautiful 1080p copy of something and know its been transcoded smaller and then stretched past where it needs to be!

With almost all mpeg4's, or my old avi's, the sound lags behind and never catches up, pausing fixes it for a word or two before it slowly falls apart. I still haven't figured out how to even fix this for a little while, no profile changes anything, no option I've found thus far.

Seemingly random files not being supported, leading to having to start and stop the service and change up the profile, often to little avail, never to the same effect.

I will say though, what I am guessing are the TV's options for cropping during tv selected DLNA are different then when working through a PS3 with serviio or tversity. I'm actually using serviio through Ps3 for a file right not that just refused to play on tversity and I didn't feel up to figuring out what was wrong with the codecs.

Sorry for the rant, this has been a frustrating experience but at least my TV is a thing of beauty

This whole mess is really driving me to run an HDMI cable across my house and use the TV as another monitor.
