Panasonic Issues since upgrading to 1.1

Hi everyone, I'm having the following issues since upgrading to 1.1

This issues were NOT evident on 1.0.1. My TV, PC and network settings are exactly the same. Panasonic Viera P50VT50B. Windows 7 PC, wired ethernet.

1. Buffering issue. Video 'hanging' although sound playing fine. TV showing playback error.
2. Aspect Ratio not correct when playing some mkv files - stretching vertically. Ignores any aspect setting via the TV remote.
3. Refusal to play certain types of video file - error message on TV.
4. TV occasionally isn't able to browse the Serviio server - error on TV. Fixed by restarting PC.

Interestingly the issues are not present on my other TV (LED LG).

How to I downgrade my 1.1 back to 1.0.1 until these apparent bugs are fixed?

Re: Panasonic Issues since upgrading to 1.1

Solved issue with aspect ratio, seems to affect 1080p mkv files so far. Changed to Generic Profile, aspect ratio now correct.
Both the Panasonic 2011 and 2012 profiles screwed the aspect up (stretched vertically).

Other issues still not fixed.

Hopefully will see 1.1.1 soon?

post ffmpeg -i of the mkv files that are affected. And what profile are you using?

Re: Panasonic Issues since upgrading to 1.1

Hi, thanks for your reply. Sorry, I'm a newbie to this. I've tried a ffmpeg -i on the file name, but it's asking for a valid output file. Could you help me with the command you want me to post, I've several video examples where the aspect isn't right using the Panasonic 2012 profile.

Thanks again.

Re: Panasonic Issues since upgrading to 1.1

Here's some that the aspect ratio 'expanded' to fill the screen, stretching the video.

For me to fix this, I had to 'hack' the Panasonic Profile to this:

<Profile id="4" name="Panasonic Viera 2012" extendsProfileId="1">
<!-- Panasonic Viera G30, GT30, DT30, UT30 With avi (2011), xx50 (2012) With AVI Support -->

<FriendlyName>(VIERA (G|D|U)T?(3|5)0?.*)|(VIERA VT50.*)</FriendlyName>
<Manufacturer>Panasonic</Manufacturer>
</UPnPSearch>
</Detection>
<ContentDirectoryMessageBuilder>org.serviio.upnp.service.contentdirectory.PacketVideoDLNAMessageBuilder</ContentDirectoryMessageBuilder>
<SubtitlesMimeType>text/srt</SubtitlesMimeType>
<MediaFormatProfiles>
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/divx">AVI</MediaFormatProfile>
</MediaFormatProfiles>

</Profile>
