I have published the Serviio 1.3.1 package on the repo. DSM Package Center will show the update. Get it while it's hot!

Re: Waiting for Serviio 1.3 for Synology NAS

I got the following error when updating on my DS213j: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7r325wqsdr6ke4o/Screenshot%202013-10-17%2011.04.16.png
I went ahead and downloaded the file manually from http://sourceforge.net/projects/dejavu/ ... javu/2.33/ and put in in the public folder. After that it installed normally.
I'll write back when I check everything is working OK.

Thanks patters!

Re: Waiting for Serviio 1.3 for Synology NAS

Got following error on my synology ds812+ when running ffmpeg:
  Code:
./ffmpeg: error while loading shared libraries: libz.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Renamed the file libz.so.1 to libz.so in the lib-folder and now everything seems fine.
Thanks :D

Re: Waiting for Serviio 1.3 for Synology NAS

Unfortunately after waiting for and looking forward to 1.3.1, I find it's rendered my media box useless. It seems this new version doesn't want to scan my folders for files.

I've removed the folders from the "Shared Folders" panel, and re-added them, and I've checked the serviio user has rights to my media share on the NAS box.

No matter what I do though, when I click Force refresh, the checking for new files light only stays green for a couple of seconds before going back to red with no files scanned.

My renderer sees the TV folder, but says there are no files within.

Any ideas please?

Update: Well I just found the log in the Package Center. Seems this new version thinks my videos are an "Unknown video file type." all of a sudden. Here's a line from the log:
  Code:
2013-10-17 23:46:09.799 WARN  [LibraryManager] Skipping processing metadata for an unsupported file (Game of Thrones - 2x07 - A Man Without Honor.mkv). Message: Unknown video file type.

Confused. What's changed?

Update 2: After completely removing Serviio and reinstalling it again, all now seems well. A shame the update wasn't as easy as it first appeared.

Yes I fixed a zlib linking issue with FFmpeg (QorIQ and Intel) a few hours after publishing. Sorry!
zlib has a bug that means it can build without a soname (which is a version number) which then confused the library linker when building all the other libs that use it:

Thanks.
