Problem with console on windows

Hello,

First of all sorry for my english.

I followed the steps described here http://pcloadletter.co.uk/2012/01/25/se ... o-package/

I installed Java SE for Embedded 7 (1.7.10) on my Synology 212j and then installed Serviio 1.0.1. The installation was correct (If i write http://192.168.1.100:23424/mediabrowser/ on my computer I see the login screen of Serviio)

Next, I installed only Serviio Console in Windows 7 (I have installed java 1.7.10 JDK), and changed the file ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions adding this line

-Dserviio.remoteHost=192.168.1.100

But when i launch the console, no display screen. I see the log and it prints the following:

2012-12-20 14:13:06,119 INFO [ServiioConsole] Starting Serviio Console
2012-12-20 14:13:06,240 INFO [ServiioConsole] Connecting to Serviio REST on 192.168.1.100:23423

Any ideas??

Thanks in advances

Re: Problem with console on windows

You have console from 1.1, and server 1.0.1 - they are not compatible. You will have to wait for Synology release 1.1, or use a compatible webui/ServiiDroid alternative.

Re: Problem with console on windows

Exact same problem as user above.

Added -Dserviio.remoteHost=192.168.11.162 to ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions but couldn't figure out (or if I need to) how to edit the file and add the variable to JAVA_OPTS property on serviio.bat.
Can also get to mediabrowser login screen (what's the password?) but can't connect:

I just realized I also have Synology release 1.01. Do you know when 1.1 will be released?

I can't seem to browse to http://192.168.11.162:5000/serviioweb/index.php finish installlation of serviioweb console. Get a not found error from Synology.

Thamks in advance for your help. Really looking forward to getting this up and running.

Re: Problem with console on windows

Hello,

I had the same issue and was unable to find an official download for the old 1.0.1 windows installer.

I was able to get it here: http://www.digital-digest.com/software/ ... story.html

Which seems to have resolved the issue and allowed me to connect to the DiskStation server/service.

Return to NAS installation
