Re: serviidb.com

I have turned back on the old site, until I get the new site completed. I am redesigning the code base so it is easier to update and maintain in the future.

Once I have this completed, I will transfer the site to the new server and publish the official API Documents.

Re: serviidb.com

A few more minor things for your todo list :)

1. On the side bar
Resolution
High Resolution
SD

Change High Resolution to HD.

2. Add an icon for live steams

3. http://serviidb.com/installs doesn't work at the moment, although the api method of getting it via json works.

Re: serviidb.com

Hi moltra, spent some time today adding some new content from this amazing post for iPlayer

Few things
-Whats the difference between "Language" and "Media Resource Language" - Best to keep it as one me thinks
- English should be the default language

-Required Plugin Revision - should be deleted, zip stated user should always have the latest plugin installed, groovy plugins currently has no way of checking what version it is

- Live TV streaming seems to be very popular, my post alone is going beyond 100,000 views, think there should a seperate "Live TV Streams" section
This is because live feeds come and go, ive been watching PPV Pay Per View events of boxing with live streaming on Serviio but the feeds never last, it would be great i can share the links or get it from others

So there should be three sections
"By Plugins" - Your usual iPlayer, ITVPlayer, HULU etc links that require plugin
"By Feeds" - Standard feeds that dont need plugins, most of the URLs can be found in catergories here
"By Live Streams" - You could have live Sports broken down to Football, Boxing ect, then TV channels mostly found in my post
Sony Bravia 2010 52NX803 - Sony PS3 - Xbox 360
Serviio running on QNAP NAS 639 Pro - 1.6 Intel Dual Core - 2GB RAM and QNAP NAS 121 - 2Ghz ARM Marvell - 1GB RAM
Console using ServiiDroid for Android, ServiiMetro and ServiiWP for Windows Phone and WebUI for iOS

I have created about 10 versions of it and have ended up not liking the way they responded. I have went back and tweaked the original serviidb.com to make it faster. I am looking at setting up serviidb as a web directory now, and I think it will be what I want. I could have it up in a couple of days if everything goes well.

Are you looking for a certain thing or just asking?

Re: serviidb.com

We should start pushing users to fill it with content, possibly the live streams? Not sure how durable those are though.

Re: serviidb.com

yes, I can always move the content to any new system that I go to.

I am thinking about adding a new status field. That that users could change to let others now that a feed is down. And if the UI developers want to they could change this status field via the API.

Re: serviidb.com

Ive tried adding content, seems to be very slow even on Chrome

Have you ever used nzbmatrix.com for usenet downloads?
Out of all the nzb database website this is the best in terms of user interface storing a large database. Its content is very clear and they have a wide API system in place.
Theres even Chrome and Firefox extentions to add content

Re: serviidb.com

I haven't heard from moltra in a while. He had set up a new site, but needed to transfer the content, I was in the process of working out the best way to transfer the info from the old db to import it across without doing it manually and then I guess he has been busy as I haven't heard from him. Although looking at the new site, it has a large amount of the content.

Re: serviidb.com

just a small bug in the PHP /SQL if you do an empty search it does not return anything. Something is different in the two SQL installs I think

you can try it just use serviidbgroup.info instead of the serviidb.com.

Also need people to start adding more content.
