Re: serviidb.com

I converted my site to run under mbm-worker instead of mbm-prefork so the memory usage is better controlled and should make the site more reliable. By doing this I lowered average memory use on the VPS by 300 Meg.

Re: serviidb.com

Can one of the UI developers run a test using the http://serviidb.com/apidev/video response and make sure I did not change anything by mistake. I tweaked the SQL to make it pull unique media from the database

Re: serviidb.com

Hi moltra thanks for updating some of the plugin contents! we now have plugin versions! :)

UI devs, can you please include plugin description, plugin version, plugin logo - 200px max, plugin working status

Few things,
Plugin Tyle: should be Plugin Title:
The tables on the homepage seem to not work, every content i add seems to put in no plugin table, but the api content is working fine
when you moved the "The Verge" Youtube content it seems to have dissapeared. So it seems the site api is working but the tables are not accurate
I created a new plugin content, Billboard Top20, but this is not showing up on the dropdown list

edit:
Ive added a few ITV entries for the new plugin, the api works fine to view these, but when i want to edit this on the website, it shows it has no values, could be the reason why its all showing in the non plugins folder
Sony Bravia 2010 52NX803 - Sony PS3 - Xbox 360
Serviio running on QNAP NAS 639 Pro - 1.6 Intel Dual Core - 2GB RAM and QNAP NAS 121 - 2Ghz ARM Marvell - 1GB RAM
Console using ServiiDroid for Android, ServiiMetro and ServiiWP for Windows Phone and WebUI for iOS

I have to add the new information to the API plugin response.

Plugin Tyle was actually Plugin Type. Fixed
The reason the new entries was not showing up on the front page was that the Required Plugin field was not filled in. I filled it in and they are showing up on the front page now. I am going to make it default to "None" if the field is not filled in. That was it will be easy to find.

In the Required Plugin field you can add it right in the Box, just type the name and it will create the taxonomy term (what allows the site to show all media content for a plugin).

Check the ITV entries they look good to me.

I think I removed the Verge content since almost everything was blank, sorry.

I have already changed the production /api to the new SQL. Also, I will be adding new content to the plugin API today or the next day or two.

Re: serviidb.com

serviiDB is shaping up very nicely! :D
When the plugin api link to serviDB it will be awesome!

Is Plugin Type the same as Plugin API name?
When i searched items for ITV Player, in ServiiDroid it thinks ive not got the plugin installed as the API name is "ITVPlayer (UK only)", in here its "ITV Player (UK)"

Also Mark can you change the description and site url fields in http://www.serviidb.com/node/add/media to plain text

with "Plugin Status" - are there going to be more options?
Sony Bravia 2010 52NX803 - Sony PS3 - Xbox 360

Xmantium wrote:Hi Mark, I think plugins need a overhaul revamp.

It should contain these values. Please let me you think.

Plugin Type: Choice of TV, Live TV, Sports, Misc, Music, Adult... can think of anymore for now

I thought I changed that, I will change it today.

Yes I can add more options. Any that you want me to add?

Ah! Gotcha!

Plugin API Name - Definately important one
Plugin Intructions: so new users don't need to read through forums to learn about extra parameters URLs can use
Plugin Forum link: user can quickly view the forum link of the groovy post

Searching via ServiiDroid, the UK content (BBC iPlayer, 4oD, ITV Player) is missing, any idea why?

Re: serviidb.com

I tried reverting to a backup from 8 hours ago, but still not showing UK content. I am currently running a complete database check and repair. I will look at it in the morning, it is 5 AM here and I have been up all night.

Sorry about the problems with the database.

Re: serviidb.com

all searches working fine now, those plugins didnt have a "plugin name" attached to it

Mark we should create a separate item for "Plugin API" solely to match the plugin api name, when we change the plugin name to the api name - the search breaks
