NHL Gamecenter Live

The plugins seems to load correctly for me, I have this in the logs:

However nothing is shown on in the library under 'Online' in videos.

My NHL GCL subscription is active.

I believe you did not step 5.

After unzip HTTP-Builder, inside the unziped folder you will see many things.
Including a dependencies folder and a http-builder-0.7-SNAPSHOT.jar file.

You need to copy the file http-builder-0.7-SNAPSHOT.jar inside dependeces folder, and after this you will copy dependencies folder from HTTP-Builder into Java folder.

I moved http-builder-0.7-SNAPSHOT.jar to the dependencies folder, and moved that to the Java folder. I added the .jar files to Info.plist, and double and triple checked line by line to make sure mine matched yours. There are slight differences, but I assume it's because I'm running Serviio 1.3.1, and your previous post was running 1.2. What are you running now, and does it still work for you? If it makes any difference I'm running OSX 10.8.5. I might try downgrading, but my best guess is that it's an issue with the formats accepted by the WDTV Live. Thanks for your help!

I've been trying to fix the issue: I was using httpbuilder 0.6. Trying 0.5.2 makes the unit test (the main method) works, except when I use 0.5.2, serviio stop logging ?! What could cause that? It's getting harder to debug when there are no logs!

Hello again, I solved my previous issues by downgrading http-builder to 0.5.0 (so that I can view debug logs). The stream lists fine, except playback doesnt work.

I took a screenshot so you can see what's happening. (I get the same output on my xbox 360). Serviio and the plugin run on Windows

I solved my issue by adding

userAgent: 'AppleCoreMedia/1.0.0.8C148 (iPad; U; CPU OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en_us)'

as a parameter in the ContentUrlContainer constructor around line 246

Basically they only allow iOS user-agents, and so adding this removes the 403 error and allow streaming.

The only issue right now is that the stream lags a little bit on my tv (choppy), but that's outside the realm of this plugin, thank you!

What is a JAR File and what has to be done?

Ok figured out the .jars

Downloaded the zip, extracted and dumped all the contents of the dependencies folder into the \lib folder. This was just confusing because the link was misleading. But I wasnt reading between the lines.

So the .jars are loaded.

Nothing listed about the plugin loading or failing - though I saw in the thread that there is not a report built in the plugin. (or has that changed?)

The only plugin and file that is in the \plugins folder is NHLGameCenterPlugin.groovy (as well as an Info.plist that I copied from earlier because I didnt see where this should be posted.

I have all of the jars in the \lib folder.

Lastly - I went through all of the code for the plugin and changed all the USERNAMES and PASSWORDS to my username and password. Just want to confirm that I have to do this - or does it just have to be the first batch of those?

Im sure I am almost there but need to tweak or move a few files or lines of code.
One thing to note - my Online folder on the DLNA file system is now empty. Unsure if that means anything...

I don't think your issue is necessarily related to this plugin. I just got a WDTV Live as well and it gives me the same error on every item from Serviio. I can stream things from my computer in a variety of formats, I can get the built in channels to play fine, but the serviio feeds all give me exactly your answer. So, my guess is that it isn't this plugin, its a profile issue - there is something that needs to be tweaked in the WDTV profile. As an added bit of goodness, I tested my Serviio by going to another PC and logging into the mediabrowser. Everything played fine. So, again, I bet its a WDTV profile issue. But, I just got this and just started here so I don't know enough to be helpful. Just dangerous.

As a follow up, changing profiles gets rid of the error message for me in some cases. But so far all profiles have just left me with the spinning wheel. Pick some profiles and see if it makes a difference. I know that Xbox 360 got rid of the error for me, see if it does the same for you. If you find one that will actually stream, please let us know. I am slowly trying to go through all of default profiles. Will let you know if I figure anything out.

I'm from Hungary and I have a valid NHL GCL subscription (sorry for my English if it is not correct everywhere).
I tried the plugin but i found a bug in it.
There are two lines which set the value of tvDateStr:

The calendar constructor get a timezone but the format return time in my timezone (which is one day after the current date in the US).
So i changed the line above with these:
SimpleDateFormat f = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyyMMdd");
f.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("EST"));

String tvDateStr = f.format(tvCal.getTime());

This code fixed the issue.


I have another problem too. I have a Samsung TV (UE40FS6320). I see the current games and thumbs are OK. However I can't open the streams on TV and I can't open the streams in MediaBrowser. It is just loading/waiting and after 1 or 2 minutes it fails.
Is there anybody in this forum who lives in Europe? I saw in the code that the plugin use the Sony TV streams from NHL. Is it available in Europe? Does anybody tried alternatives?

First of all, here is my system:
OS - Mac OSX Lion (10.7.5)
Serviio - 1.3.1
Http-builder - 0.7-SNAPSHOT - installed at Serviio.app\Contents\Resources\Java\dependencies (with all included builder jars)
NHL Gamecenter Live plugin - installed at Serviio.app\Contents\Resources\Java\plugins
The file, Serviio.app\Contents\Info.plist, has also been edited with new dependency items added.

Ok, so I have completed the 7 steps listed on page 3 (allmac's post) for OSX. I have a websource created in the Serviio Console. I am seeing two links for today's games (a home and an away feed). If I open one in the Serviio Media Browser, it is very small (192x144) and it doesn't play anything. These two soures also show on my TV, through my Sony BluRay player. I click one there and I get an error after a long delay, saying the "File is corrupt, or unsupported". I do have a current NHL-GCL account and I have edited the plugin file with my login credentials. I had also put the IOS mobile entry in the plugin file, in the new ContentURLContainer block of code. I have since removed that, unsure if it was causing the smaller display in the media browser. No change to the TV/Sony bluray error, or the size of the unplaying video in the media browser.

lapincube, I had the same problem and fixed that issue with adding the iOS code (in red) to the NHLGameCenterPlugin.groovy file like this:

My problem persists, as I think yours will too, that I get a 403 Forbidden error from the link: http://www.nhl.com/ice/gamecenterlive.htm.
