VIDEO_TS Folder

Apologies if this is a silly question, and I could just try it and see, but interested in any replies/tips.

Can you stream the .vob files in a VIDEO-TS folder?

Re: VIDEO_TS Folder

Thanks, is there a means to show them all - or is the best solution convert to a single file format?

Re: VIDEO_TS Folder

you will see them all, but as separate files... you could join them, there are tools for that (without reencoding)

Re: VIDEO_TS Folder

Just FYI I've tried a number of tools in the past (JoinVOBfiles,Combimovie,Streamclip,EastJoiner,DVDDecrypter) without success. Usually the timestamps get messed up and the total time is wrong or the vobs are in the wrong order. Only one that worked for me was the (paid) Womble editor...add the vobs and output a new mpeg2 movie.

If you are successful please post back what worked for you.

Yes, I think timestamp are in "IFO" companion files, so to merge VIDEO_TS files, need .vob and .ifo source. (IFO is a part of DLNA, but don't know how to manage this).

Thanks to everyone for their replies.

Haven't had much success with anything. The easiest solution seems to be to convert to mp4, and between Handbrake
and tmpGenc 4, Handbrake was best.
