Here is your problem. Give the device access (right click on in on the Status tab). Make sure you're not using the old WHS plugin.

Thanks!
That solved it in my case. Is it possible to set Serviio to automatically accept new devices instead of blocking them all by default?

I have the same problem, upgraded to 1.2 and lost connection between my Windows Home Server and Samsung TV. Is the current server plugin for WHS v1 the one marked version 0.6.1.0? If not, where do I find a newer version?

Thanks,
Jay

It is accepting them. But if you're running WHS plugin for 0.6.x it'll have this effect. There is not 1.2 WHS plugin AFAIK, you'll have to run the console in Remote Desktop or use an app like ServiiDroid.

Re: Unable to See Serviio after Upgrade to 1.2

I've pretty much given up on running Serviio on WHS. I now have it running on my PC and connecting to shares on the WHS. My only problem now (and this also occurred on the WHS) is that connections from the Samsung Blu Ray to Serviio are intermittent. Music (file or stream) will run for a few minutes and then the server is disconnected. Anyone else have this?

Yes, I'm running that plugin. Do I understand you correctly that if I remove that WHS plugin and only use the remote desktop to do any changes, it will automatically add new devices? If so, I'll remove the whs plugin as I can live without it. (I'm an admin, I'm used to using remote desktop anyway)

Re: Unable to See Serviio after Upgrade to 1.2

Yes the plugin is not compatible with 1.2 and will cause unexpected behaviour.
