Online metadata "tvdb" how to force specific show?

Hi all, is there any way to force specific show by it's show number or any other way to retrieve online metadata? Ex: adding show ID in the parent folder

My case is I have Sherlock Holmes comic series from 1984 but for this year it exist 2 Sherlock Holmes series and serviio doesn't pick the right one..

I know I can fix it locally, but I don't want to do that if I can..

Thanks you for your help!

Re: Online metadata

There is a related request to assist finding metadata for movies based on the imdb number - see https://bitbucket.org/xnejp03/serviio/i ... for-movies. Maybe append that request to include similar for series.

I had a quick look in the thetvdb.com and couldnt work out what the two series in 1984 are. What are you seeing, maybe I can help to find a filename that differentiates the two series. (or what are the two series ID's?)

Am confused - 73529 is a 1954 series (not 1984) - see http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=73529&lid=7. 73082 is an 1984 cartoon called Sherlock Hound - see http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=73082&lid=7.

If you want the 1954 show, then a filename of simply Sherlock Holmes S01E01.xyz worked for me??

Re: Online metadata

Ho Sorry for the mistake! Indeed is Sherlock hound.. It's my error. Sorry! Because in french they translated the title by "Sherlock holmes". This caused the mistake when serviio retrieve the metadata.

Re: Online metadata

By the way, I have observed many time french character are not supported. Episode with é or è by example are not added when I scan for metadata.... ;-( I have to change every character with en "é" or "è" for an "e".

It is normal?

No problems.

and I have another question btw. I just added Starwars ep V. why is sorted after the VI?? Any possibility to order them by the real order and not computer like order?
No idea, even on the computer VI comes after V?

I have the same problem for movies which are part of a set where the names are not alphabetical (eg. the Harry Potter series, the Indiana Jones series). Other than creating custom metadata I haven't found an answer (I havent really looked either - it hasn't worried me).

I have to change every character with en "é" or "è" for an "e". It is normal?
Sorry - perhaps zip or Illico can help. I thought it would follow the language that you specify under the Metadata tab, Video, Language option in serviio console but perhaps that only applies to what info is retrieved, not what is search for??

Re: Online metadata "tvdb" how to force specific show?

For the french accent problem, everything look fine in mediabrowser. The problem is only when I try to add file which contains these kind of accent.
