No password asked

When I use Serviigo I'm asked for the Serviio console password, but when I use my win 8.1 and 10 laptop I'm not. The content just shows up in both and im not asked for the password. Is that because they are all on the same network, or is it a setting that I have missed..? Setup; one pc/server/htpc with win7 and Serviio, and tablets an laptops, android win7 win8.1 10 und zu weiter...

Re: No password asked

I think he's referring to the media browser password needed to use ServiioGo ... any content via MediaBrowser you will have to create a password on the Console's Remote tab.

Re: No password asked

Any pc connected to my wireless network can view and play any content shared on the pc/htpc where serviio is installed. I wished there was a password one has to use before one can do that. There isn't. So no misunderstanding here at all...

Re: No password asked

You could disable those devices in Serviio console (if you didn't want to grant them any access) or set them to have limited access (and then define which shared folders are part of the limited access group).

Passwords won't work - Serviio is a DLNA server and even if the DLNA standard supported it (it doesnt afaik) then most DLNA renderers (TV's etc) have no means to actually entering a password.
