Server keeps stopping

have been using serviio for a couple of years no with no issues, but yesterday I updated to version 1.8, and ever since then I have been having major issues. The server keeps stopping, every few minutes so, constantly.
No matter how many times I reboot the pc, or reinstall Serviio, the server will always stop after a couple of minutes, over and over again.
I have tried going back ot older versions, inc 1.7, and even 1.5...the problem still remains, and I am totally unable to resolve it.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Server keeps stopping

Did your log (preferably a detailed log) tell you anything?

Re: Server keeps stopping

Hello,
I am also using serviio for several years with a quite large collection, and have issues since 1.8 update: server becomes unreachable. Probably stopped.

Re: Server keeps stopping

Although Serviio is stopping it may be up long enough to produce a detailed log. Turn detailed logging on, start Serviio and see if it the log file tells us anything.

Also try starting Serviio via the batch file, and try starting it a minute or two after your PC fires up.

Re: Server keeps stopping

Appears to be happening when I refresh the Library. Either on Auto, or using the "Force Refresh" option.
Not using either of these functions the server stays online, no problem at all.
Only started with the 1.8 update sadly
Will try and post a log later when I get some free time :)

Re: Server keeps stopping

Just a thought - were you using the serviio.forceLibraryPoller startup switch previously? If so, remove it and then set "Use the poller mechanism for monitoring this folder" for all shared folders that need it in the Serviio console, Library, Shared folders area.

Re: Server keeps stopping

That's ok. If that's the case it means you weren't using it. Post your log file when you get a chance (you need to turn detailed logging on - click on the link to find out how).
