Add files from network drive

Hi,

I'm trying to add files to my library using a mapped drive. However I'm only able to select files on the local C: drive. I've modified the Serviio service to run as the local admin account that I'm also using for logging into the server but it still doesn't allow me to select the mapped drive.

How can I change this?

Thanks in advance

Change the Serviio service to run under your user account. The default account that Serviio uses has no network permissions. However, mapped drives are only mapped when the user is logged in. You will have to use the network UNC path: \\share_name\Share_folder.

This is useful advice.
I have an external drive that works fine without logging in. But it is not a mapped drive which is different.

Re: Add files from network drive

Hi,

Well, accessing one of my NAS drives seems to work. Couldn't get my drive connected to a PC to work. But no big deal. I can work around it.

Thanks for the advice.

Re: Add files from network drive

Try using UNC path rather than mapped drive name
