aspect ratio problem returned after update

A whileback I posted for help on getting the aspect ratio correct on my panasonic viera TV. MP4 files were being stretched vertically to fill the screen. The forum sorted me out by adding some script to the panasonic profile. Now after updating the prog to latest addition the aspect ratio problem is back. Below is the part of the script that you asked me to modify with the added parts in red italics. I added this to the profile in the latest version.
Please help me get this working again.I re installed the original serviio and it works again.Do I even need the update? What are the differences please.

<!-- Transcode h264 videos with profile level > 4.1 to mpegts with ac3 audio -->
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetVCodec="mpeg2video" targetACodec="ac3" DAR="16:9" forceInheritance="true">
<Matches container="mp4" vCodec="h264" />
<Matches container="*" vCodec="h264" profile="high" levelGreaterThan="4.1" />
<Matches container="*" vCodec="h264" profile="main" levelGreaterThan="4.1" />

Re: aspect ratio problem returned after update

you can make the same change to the profile you're using. There are release notes for each of the releases, you can search for them on the web site.

Re: aspect ratio problem returned after update

sorry that doesn't help much. I know I should be able to make the same changes to the new profile. That's the point of this post.I have tried this and it doesn''t work, see the profile scripts I posted. Also I can't find any release notes relevent to my problem. Do you have a link maybe?

List of release notes: http://www.serviio.org/news/9-release-notes/

Not sure about the scripts - you posted them above, didn't you? Which profile are you using?

Re: aspect ratio problem returned after update

could you post the entire profile section that you edited? it's tough to see if it got edited correctly with just the snip you posted.

Re: aspect ratio problem returned after update

I had to re install serviio 1.21 again to get you the profile. However now when I try to run the console I get The Mesage "Cannot connect to serviio server, it does not seem to be running.......exiting"
This is a different problem from before so I am attatching the whole profile file. The one I am trying to use is "<Profile id="viera2011a" name="Panasonic Viera G/GT/DT/UT/VT (2011/2012)"

Thanks

Don't want to see impatient but while I have got serviio 1.21 installed to investigate problem I can't stream properly. Only 1.1 works for me. :|

Re: aspect ratio problem returned after update

I am far from an profile expert, but I would try adding the DAR setting to each "Video targetContainer" line under your profile, the file your playing may be using a different profile sub section to dictate it's transcoding settings.

Re: aspect ratio problem returned after update

ZIP you are a genius, it works! The profile looks quite a bit different from the original not just a few tweaks. Should it replace the panasonic profile in the update?
Can you help with another problem? I have a humax HDR FOX T2 which handles streaming better than my Panny. However it will not play any MKV files through serviio (message on screen says format not supported). Mezzmo will play these but I don't like the programme, it stutters to much when transcoding whereas serviio plays very smoothly.
Thanks again ZIP.

Re: aspect ratio problem returned after update

It's just 2 lines changed to the viera2011a profile from what is bundled with 1.2.1. For he other thing start a new thread of search for an existing one
