Can you help me for selecting or adding a new profile for these video type:
* MKV

* MPEG
* MOV from Canon camera

and audio type:
* DTS
* AC3
* mp3
* audio from Canon video

Can anyone help me ?
Can you suggest to me a new configuration for my Smsung TV ?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Samsung UE40B7000 profile

User Duktok had a similar problem which we solved by using the Samsung B profile, but we changed all occurrences of targetACodec="ac3" to targetACodec="mp3". See viewtopic.php?f=10&t=15640#p86596 for more detail.
Remember to restart your PC after changing profiles.xml.
ps. not in front of my Serviio PC at the moment so cannot confirm this will cover all your cases, but give it a try.

Re: Samsung UE40B7000 profile

This should be getting transcoded by Serviio, so not sure what is happening. What are you experiencing?

Try switching to the Generic Profile and seeing if this file plays.

Re: Samsung UE40B7000 profile

Serviio only acts on the first audio track. In this case there is no handler for AC-3, so the video is being sent asis to your TV (which cannot decode AC-3, and it fails),

Try the following, add the line:

  Code:
<Matches container="avi" aCodec="ac3"  />
before the line
<Matches container="avi" vCodec="h264" />
Not sure if this will work as its will try and package xvid video in an mts container. If it fails, move the line further down, just before the existing line: <Matches container="avi" vCodec="mjpeg" />

Re: Samsung UE40B7000 profile

Not sure - this should be presented to your TV natively (you can confirm this by viewing a detailed log), so it is something your TV doesn't like.

It may be the fact that it has dual audio tracks. Try removing one using the command (from the command prompt type - assuming you're a Windows user):

"C:\Program Files\Serviio\lib\ffmpeg.exe" -i "F:\Film C.ANIMATI\WD - Le avventure di Winnie the Pooh.avi" -vcodec copy -acodec copy "F:\Film C.ANIMATI\WD - Le avventure di Winnie the Pooh TEST.avi"

and see if the resultant file plays (this should only copy the first audio track only - the Italian track. Please check with MediaInfo). Let me know how this goes - if it doesn't work we may need to re-encode the audio. Please take note of any errors or warnings when running the above command.

Re: Samsung UE40B7000 profile

By deleting the second audio trace (in english) the video work corrctly, I hear the italian audio trace.

But I have another film with a single audio mp3 trace and my TV doesn't reply this. Now my question is, it is possible to do at Serviio the transcoding for all audio trace in one only audio format audible from my Samsung TV ?

I see from the previous changes, that when I do to Serviio a transcoding audio (DTS or AC3) in mp3 the audio works correctly.

I want to try this way, if it is possible.

Can you say to me the profiles.xml changes to do this work ?

NOTE: as for my previous post I want to do at Servvio (between it transcoding audio trace) amplify audio trace at 0db for most videos that have audio too low.

I'm waiting your precious help.

Thanks in advance

Re: Samsung UE40B7000 profile

The problem is that the audio track is already in the format your TV should understand (ie. in MP3). There is no way to force Serviio to re-encode the audio from MP3 to MP3.

It could simply be that this is a bad encode of the video (and by bad, I simply mean something that your Samsung doesn't like). Try using the ffmpeg command from my previous post (changing file names), that often fixes this problem.

There is no way to increase the volume when transcoding in Serviio that I know of. Not sure if forcing it to stereo (from Serviio Console or in the profile) or changing the audio bit rate will help, you would need to play with it: have a read of http://www.serviio.org/index.php?option ... icle&id=24 which will give you the options for stereo and audio bit rate (I doubt this will help though - anything's possible).

Re: Samsung UE40B7000 profile

Nothing stands out for me. Maybe it is the DTS to MP3 transcode - try choosing a different audio format to transcode to (change all targetACodec="mp3" to targetACodec="lpcm" perhaps) and see if that helps.
