Re: Serviio not show on TV with new Router

I HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM.

Before you try the below have you ensured you have restarted the machine your serviio is on since swapping the router? It could be that serviio is trying to send info to the wrong ip address as it hasnt detected the change (assuming your using DHCP)

Anyway to be sure this is what i did...

In the asus router in the DHCP settings i set the machine with the serviio on it to have static ip. The router is good as it shows you a drop down list of the machines connected. So i just selected my server. Set the ip address (in may case) to 192.168.0.16. Applied the settings - the router takes about a minutes to apply.

I then restarted my serviio machine. Logged on and checked the ip address. Then in the serviio console on the Status tab i selected the specifc address from the drop down list box (Bound Ip Address) at the bottom to the static address.

It started working after then stoping and starting the serviio service (also on the status tab).

Hope it helps. Cheers

Re: Serviio not show on TV with new Router

With a new router, all your network devices need a new IP address. Not every router assigns addresses from the same subnet, so if your TV or Serviio computer did not get assigned a new address they wouldn't be able to see each other.

As hansolo mentions, Serviio may still be using an incorrect IP address after the switch. Make sure the console is showing the correct IP address. Also you can check the Serviio log and see exactly the IP address it is using. Make sure Serviio is using the actual IP address of the computer.
