Console telling me I have duplicates

I recently unplugged a drive while Serviio was running. (I normally shut down Serviio before I do this but I forgot.) Serviio didn't remove any files from my library, which is fine. However when I realized what I had done, I shut down my computer, plugged back in the drive I had unplugged, and rebooted. Now when I attempt to make any changes within my library (I'm trying to turn off movies for one particular folder), when I click the Save button I get a message saying "There are duplicates in the shared folders. All entries must be exclusive of each other." Is this trying to tell me I have duplicate folder entries, or duplicate files? I haven't added any folders recently. I have checked all my folders as they are listed on the Shared folders tab and there are no duplicates. I may have some duplicate files, but I have searched the forums here and that seems to be allowable. Can anyone advise me on what's going on and how to fix it? I'm running the latest version, 1.5.2. Also, for what it's worth, the Force refresh button on the Shared folders tab is disabled (dimmed out). It is not dimmed out on the console context menu of the taskbar icon. If I can't figure this out, my next step would be to delete my folder entries one by one until the error goes away, then try to add them back.

Re: Console telling me I have duplicates

Do you have a shared folder that is a subfolder of another shared folder? If so, that is no longer supported (1.5 onward). Each share must be independent of each other.

I think that is what is being referred to as a duplicate. Remove any like this and you should be fine.

Re: Console telling me I have duplicates

Thanks! That's what it was! I suspected that's what it might be, even though I was sharing only videos in the main folder and only pictures in the sub-folder. I obviously missed that (or didn't fully understand it) in the old release notes. :) Thanks for the quick solution!

Re: Console telling me I have duplicates

Oh please bring back that feature. :o
I really need the possibility to browse my complete hard disk, even if the "music" subfolder already is in the ressources.

It worked until I tried to add another online ressource today. Now my working configuration is gone.

Re: Console telling me I have duplicates

I agree with flexi, bring that feature back. It was nice to be able to have sub folders listed along with the parent drive.
At the least make the error message more understandable and/or don't allow the selection of folders that causes the "duplicates" error. The console is locking up when I add shared folders now.
