If you connect almost any device to a Wi-Fi access point, the device will save the password for future connections. If you change the password on the access point, you have to reconnect any Wi-Fi devices with the new password. So yes, you have saved the original password on your BD player.
Right now, if you change your Wi-Fi password, your BD player no longer connects to your network, which is why it can't see Serviio. It won't see anything else, either, including the Internet for firmware updates. I'm unfamiliar with the Pioneer menu, so I can't tell you the steps to remove your previous connection and save the new password.
