High CPU usage after Win10 update

Hi, I just updated my server system that runs windows 10 with the latest update and now Serviio CPU usage is at 20% on idle. I tried disabling “ windows font cache service ” and “ Windows Presentation Foundation Font Cache 3.0.0.0 ” which didnt seem to help at all and I did that a couple hours ago.

It did do this before and couldnt fix it so I just disabled the serviio service until I needed it, and the SSD died so I replaced it and reinstalled windows and updated it then installed all my runtime files etc and serviio, no probs since, until this windows 10 update..

I cant find anything that helps so far, any ideas on resolving this ?

Re: High CPU usage after Win10 update

Does the serviio log (C:\Program Files\Serviio\log\serviio.log) shed any light on what it's doing?

No, I looked there before posting...
I ended up trying reinstalling Serviio using existing DataBase and CPU went to 54% for awhile then settled down to 20% , then I tried stopping process for awhile then it sat around 10% for a hour then back up to 20%. I went out for a couple hours, then when I looked it was fine, idle at 0%..
weird and dont really know what fixed it, but seems fine now, touch wood :)

Re: High CPU usage after Win10 update

Just a guess, but I'm wondering if the database was re-indexing. That seems to drive up CPU usage, and then it settles back down after finishing.
