Search PROFILE.xml for Iphone 5c

Hello,

I recently started using Serviio and I search for a profile using an Iphone 5c.
Will someone just show me the structure of the profile he created?

Thank you in advance.

Re: Search PROFILE.xml for Iphone 5c

Serviio includes a profile for an iOS device, but it is not enabled by default. It is in the application-profiles.xml file, and begins on line 92. The profile ID is "ios". At the end of that line it says selectable="false". Change false to "true" and restart Serviio. It will now appear as an available profile in the Serviio console. Any time you update Serviio this file is replaced, so you would have to enable it again.

I have no idea how well it will work in a 5c phone. But it's a starting point for you.

Re: Search PROFILE.xml for Iphone 5c

big thank you atc98092 !

With IOS profile, I can see all the content videos on the local hard drive!
Thank you !

But, I do not play video that are on a local network hard drive?
Is normally functioning network of local videos is the same profile as the videos of the local hard drive?

PS: When I press PLAY a video on the local network drive (\\192.168.1.xxx), the PLAY logo appears with a bar !!!!! ? and I can not play the video.

Thank you beforehand.

Re: Search PROFILE.xml for Iphone 5c

I don't know what app you are using on your iPhone. To play a video from a UNC address like that, it doesn't sound like it's going through Serviio.

Now, it you are referring to Serviio connecting to a network share, it's likely your network permissions are not set correctly. A normal Serviio installation is configured to run as a Local system service. This "user" generally has no networking privileges, although if you are seeing the files that's usually not the case.

As far as the profile, it doesn't care if the files are local or on a network share. It treats them the same, so if one plays but not the other, there's something going on between Serviio and the network share. Like I said, it's usually permissions based. The easiest fix is to change the user name the Serviio service uses to run. On Windows, this is changed in the Services app. For other OSs, you'll need someone else's assistance.
