Metadata Example File

Hi,

i am trying to add metadata to my video library but was not really successful up to now.
What i did (according to what i read in the wiki):

- Generated a .nfo file with some basic tags (manually with text editor based on the example format provided in the kodi-wiki) or tools like tinyMediaManager
(i do not want to use online-sources for the metadata as i am afraid it will only worsen the chaos which took me several years to create by myself
- Placed the .nfo file with the name $FileNameOfVideoFile.nfo in the same Folder as the corresponding video file
- Set Metadata->DescriptiveMetaData to .NFO and pressed RescanMetaData

In Result, the Server is busy for some time, but afterwards the whole library is still presented without the tags in the .nfo file.

Maybe someone can tell me what i got wrong or can provide me a working .nfo-example-file which i can use for testing and compare to the files i tried.

serviio versions were 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 on osx

Enable detailed logging, rescan metadata again (and Force refresh) and then check the log to see if it finds the nfo file and what it picks from it.

It's a little bit embarrassing to admit: i was not aware that importing metadata has to be enabled for each video folder ...
