high cpu ffmpeg

when i refresh my library, ffmpeg consumes between 50-75% of cpu causing my overall cpu usage to hit 100% and my mouse to stutter and everything slows down.

and this is just refreshing the libraries, not playback or transcoding. is there a way to limit cpu usage on ffmpeg?

Re: high cpu ffmpeg

updated to the latest version of ffmpeg and seems to have resolved the problem. ffmpeg is much better behaved now, only uses about 5% cpu now.

Re: high cpu ffmpeg

One of the first things I do after a Serviio update is to install the latest x64 version of FFMPEG. It always seems to run better than the 32 bit version included. However, I understand the need to ensure everyone has a version that works on their computer. Hence the reason he includes the 32 bit version.
