** on folder names

Hi, I installed Serviio on a Win10 PC yesterday and added my Television folder to the folder list.

Looking at the files on MediaBrowser some of the series have ** after the series and the scan has not picked up all the series or episodes for some programs, even though the file names comply with the naming conventions.

I have tried a 'Force Refresh'

Any ideas?

Re: ** on folder names

The ** is showing you the season your were last watching. Enter that season, and you'll find ** again of the last episode you watched. It's just to show you where you left off.

Why some files are missing, I can't explain. My only suggestion would be to use the entire Series name in the file name, i.e. instead of just Marple, use Agatha Christie's Marple. Just a thought.

Re: ** on folder names

Thanks for your reply.

The ** now makes sense, I had been jumping about series testing various files and formats.

I've found the rest of the Marple episodes, they were under another listing 'Miss Marple' but with the episodes assigned to different series.

Is there anyway I can force an episode into the correct series and title.

4.50 From Paddington is S01E03
A Caribbean Mystery is S06E01
They Do It With Mirrors is S04E03
The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side is S05E04 but I don't have it on my server.

Re: ** on folder names

As I mentioned, your file naming isn't quite accurate for the title. Serviio uses thetvdb.com for retrieving metadata. For your files, You need them to be "Agatha Christie's Marple", not just "Marple". Using your name, it is confusing your title with "Miss Marple". I checked and they are both listed in thetvdb. The other option is to use the IMDB film ID number in at least the folder name. For your titles, the ID is tt1734537. See here for more detail: http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=imb ... ata_naming

Re: ** on folder names

Thanks,

I renamed the files last night to the full Agatha Christie's Marple SxxExx which Serviio found and put in the correct series, however it didn't find and display a couple of episodes. I added the imbd tt number and did a force refresh and they're still not shown.

Re: ** on folder names

Well, now is the time to enable debug logging and give us a copy of the log. It certainly looks like it's named correctly, and I verified the names in thetvdb, so now we have to have some log details.
