No DLNA After Win 10 Upgrades

Im on the Insider Preview for Windows and I get quite a few complete Windows upgrades. These go pretty well for everything except Serviio.

basically after the update I normally get a few prompts from some of my apps (like torrent and news clients) to "allow" them to use network resources. I don't get anything from Serviio and effectively the Windows firewall blocks all communications from Serviio. After the update my DLNA devices no longer see Serviio.

The simplest workaround for me is to reinstall serviio... after which I get the prompt to "allow" it.

This has been going on for some time... If there is an easier way to fix this behaviour I'd like to know it... but ultimately it would be nice if Serviiio would work similarly to the other programs.

Any ideas?

It seems that Microsoft has decided that when they offer updates, they can also reconfigure your firewall. Not the first I've heard of this happening. I found mine had disabled Microsoft Media Sharing, which was strange that they'd do that to their own service. However, for some strange reason it didn't shut off my Serviio access.

Ah, the mysteries of Redmond (as someone who doesn't live all that far from there...)

Oddly the other apps I have reprompt for permission after each build update (just got a new one last night). Serviio doesn't.

Hmm... another update and Serviio is down for the count. 100% reproducible problem across multiple systems. Every single Windows update it fails.

I verified the 3 inbound Serviio rules and they are the same before and after.

Fixed IP (DHCP Reservation).

Not sure what else to offer. My main Serviio computer is on Windows 10, and I've never had any connectivity issues with it. Even after updates it's never disappeared. And believe me, I'd hear about it if my wife couldn't connect
