DISH Hopper 3 DVR Pause, Back, Forward help

First of all, I don't expect help from the Serviio staff, only possibly from someone who's encountered and fixed this Hopper problem.

I've got my Win7 hooked via ethernet to my router, likewise my router is ethernetted to my Hopper DVR. My actual TV set doesn't have ethernet and it's only got one HDMI which is populated.

Serviio works well over the Hopper's "Home Media" function - except for the DVR's remote Pause, Back, and Forward buttons. Sometimes they work, sometimes not. And when they do work, when in a VIDEO it's a definite problem. Back and Forward SKIP to the previous/next video instead of moving along ~inside~ the playing video. Does that happen with videos on other setups/TVs?

I wrote this up at more length here on the Serviio forums:

Re: DISH Hopper 3 DVR Pause, Back, Forward help

SOLVED IT. Not perfect but good enough. Somehow between Serviio, the Hopper, annd the Hopper remote, Pause Back and Forward got mapped to unexpected buttons on the remote. The remote not only has the expected Pause Back and Forward buttons, at the bottom in the image, which work fine for DVR recorded content, it also has a button control panel for Select, Forward, Back, Up and Down for scrolling through program listings in the Dish Guide. It turns out that pressing the Back or Forward buttons makes a small Pause, Back, BackFast , Forward and ForwardFast buttons menu appear (just like the audio and photo menu). One then can pick them with the Select button. Back and Forward behave just as needed inside a video, BackFast and ForwardFast both do SKIPS to previous or next.

The only glitch so far is if I select Back or Forward a second time inside a video. Then it goes to SKIP. Maybe that's not a glitch but a  FEATURE.
