Is a Pro licence forever or version specific?

I don't need the extra features of Pro but I use the free version every day and would like to contribute. BUT... I've stopped buying software that limits you to the current version or is an annual fee.

Could you confirm whether the Pro licence will cover all future versions please?

It covers all 1.x versions. At the moment there is no plan to ever release 2.x.
