Online sources limit

Hello,

I started using Serviio about a week ago, it's a great tool that I will buy after the trial period, I have encountered a problem(or maybe is not a problem) and I don't know how to fix it. I have added more then 50 live streams in online sources, but I only see 26 of them (Roku or In browser player), there is a setting somewhere or what should I do to be able to see all the sources I have added?

Thank you.

Re: Online sources limit

Not sure if there's some sort of limit, but here's one thing to try. Open the console and go to the presentation tab. At the bottom of the page is a box labeled "Number of items in dynamic categories". Increase that number to see if it has any effect.

It's also possible that the streams not displayed are not considered by Serviio to be playable. Is it in the MediaBrowser that you're looking at the list, or from another player?

Re: Online sources limit

Hello atc98092, thank you for your response.

I have tried in MediaBrowser and using the media player from a Roku streaming stick. It seems that Serviio is handling only the initial 26 channels, for example I have channel 1, 2, 30 if I move channel 2 to position 1 it works but if I move channel 30 to position 1, 2 or any position thats lower then 26, it doesn't appear in the player. The links are valid(tested in VLC ) actually the only difference is the port number (same IP but different port for each channel). I have increased "Number of items in dynamic categories" to 99 but still no change.

Best regards.

Re: Online sources limit

Open the console, go to Library/Online sources, scroll to bottom of the page , there is a setting for Max. number of feed items to retrieve.

Thanks jk. My brain was trying to remind me of this, but this bloody head cold is scrambling things up. Either that, or I'm getting senile!

Re: Online sources limit

Check the log file for errors. You may need to turn on debugging. see here http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=detail_logging
Run ffmpeg -i on the problem links . see here http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=file_np

Re: Online sources limit

Hello,

I uninstalled Serviio and I got the same problem again, because I didn't had allot of time to debug it, I managed to find a workaround, so before the second uninstall I exported a backup using the tool Serviio provides, and I saw that the .sob file is in xml format, so I parsed the m3u file from where I was adding online sources and saved that in .sob format and imported the file using Serviio importer and now I have all my IPTV channels working now. Thx for your help guys!
