Help with Console serviio

Hi,

I get the following message from the Serviio console Wrapper..

"Cannot connect to the server, it doesn't seem to be running..."

However I have looked through the posts here and when I click on the local host link to open in a browser window, it successfully opens the serviio concole.

I have been trying to get this up and running again for over a week now, Hopefully you genius can help?

Kind Regards

Re: Help with Console serviio

I can't say why the wrapper isn't working. But since you can open the console via the normal browser, I say just stick with that and have fun. :D

Re: Help with Console serviio

I am trying to access my folders fro my Sony Bravia TV.

I have added a user account and allowed access to files on the user account.

http://localhost:23424/mediabrowser (on laptop)

Now when I access the serviio via the TV i get an error message... "Media Player is not responding, Would you like to close it?..."

How can I be able to play the files on my TV?

Hope someone can help.

Kind Regards

Re: Help with Console serviio

Unless you assigned a user account to your Sony TV in the Serviio console (and that's not necessary to do by the way), the user account should have no bearing on what is displayable on the TV. When a user account is assigned to a device in the Serviio console, then that device can only see what is granted to that user.

I'm assuming MediaBrowser is working properly on the laptop. If that's the case, there shouldn't be any issue at the TV. But I've never owned a Sony TV, so have no idea what their DLNA player looks like or how it works. Have you completely unplugged the TV from power, and done a complete reboot? Sometimes that will clear a connection issue.
