VIdeos played on Roku have incorrect length/duration

I can play my videos via the Serviio server on my Roku media player app. When I select a video but before I play it I can see the video length which will be correct. When I actually play the video and try to fast forward it will say something like the video 10 seconds which the full length might be 30 minutes. I cant figure out what the issue is that is causing this.

Re: VIdeos played on Roku have incorrect length/duration

This is caused by transcoding, and the way that Roku Media Player processes the information. The longer you wait, the more of the video is transcoded, and you can FF further.

What model Roku do you have, and what profile is Serviio using for it? If you haven't changed the profile, it's using the default Roku profile, which transcodes far more than necessary for newer players. Let me know which model Roku you have and I'll let you know which profile will work the best for it.
