two clients on one IP

I have device with built-in DLNA client. This client is not so good, so I additionally install BubbleUPnP to device (It's TV). Now Serviio continuosly reassigns device profile between them.

And so on.

It also flicker device name in console status.
It seems not quite correct.

Re: two clients on one IP

I've never had a profile change once I manually assign one. I don't use Bubble, but I do have several different players on my Shield players (Kodi, MrMC, VLC, and I've experimented with a few others). Perhaps it's because the Shield is just fine with the Generic profile. But by Default every Roku will be assigned the basic Roku Media Player profile, which I then change to a more appropriate Roku profile for the specific device. It never changes after I manually assign the profile. Is yours changing back and forth automatically, or have you assigned a specific profile that is then being changed?

Re: two clients on one IP

At first, I couldn't assign any profiles to my device at all. When I selected a profile and clicked Save, the device name on that IP immediately changed to the second name, and the profile to General.
Then I assigned the profile to the same IP again, and as soon as I clicked save, the device name changed to the first one and the General profile was again there.
That's when I decided to scan the network for UPnP devices and create a separate profile for it (in the user-profiles.xml file). Serviio then automatically assigned this profile to my device, but as you can see in the log, it didn't stop there.

user-profiles.xml
...<UPnPSearch>
<ModelName>(deviceName)|(BubbleUPnP Media Renderer)</ModelName>
<ModelNumber>(v1)|(2.9.3)</ModelNumber>
<Manufacturer>(CVTE)|(Bubblesoft)</Manufacturer>
</UPnPSearch>
...

So, can I assign proper profile just by IP ?

That's really the only way you can assign a profile to a device. The IP address is the one constant for a device. The Device Name in the Serviio console is simply what Serviio is able to extract from the DLNA protocol stream, and isn't always accurate. Whatever profile is assigned to a specific IP address should never change.

Re: two clients on one IP

When I delete the user-profiles.xml file, the ability to assign a profile disappears. As I mentioned above, as soon as I assign any profile except General and click Save, the device changes its name in Serviio console status pane and the profile resets to General. I see you can't believe it. How can I prove/demonstrate it? I can send a log ar I can make a video.

Sorry, I'm not doubting what you say. I just don't understand why it's happening. I'm not the developer, I just assist him with user support here in the forum. It's simply behavior that I've never seen, and I believe only Zip (the developer) can provide further assistance.
