Transcode OGM for Samsung D Series

Hi,

great work - I am enjoying the software imensely. But I have some old OGM containers with XVID video and Vorbis Audio - is there any way I can get them to play or transcode. I tried a bit but I am really not too good at that. Here is my try which probably quite off:

<!-- transcode OGM -->
<Video targetContainer="mpegts">
<Matches container="ogm" />
</Video>

Appreciate any help and pointers!

Re: Transcode OGM for Samsung D Series

I just noticed that "High Quality Files" recorded from onlinetvrecorder.com dont play either. here are the details:

FFmpeg version UNKNOWN, Copyright (c) 2000-2011 the FFmpeg developers

Bitrate: 192 kb/s

I will run it in allshare to see if it works there.

Forgot: TV in question is a Samsung UA40D5000PR (2011 modell).

Installed Samsung AllShare 2.0 and had no problems running the file. Can anyone help me how to get it to run with serviio?

I changed serviio to generic profile and could run the file just fine as well. Does it make sense to join the generic profile and the series c/d profile?

OGG container for videos is not supported. I'll create a ticket.

Try to remove this line from the C/D profile:

  Code:
<Matches container="avi" vCodec="h264" />

Re: Transcode OGM for Samsung D Series

thanks for the info on the OGM file - that explains a lot. will probably recode them then since its only around 40 files or so.

removed the line from the provile and applied it. that did the trick apparently. interestingly enough VOB files now also come in multi-languages.

so thanks for the help - this really made my life a lot easier esp. since i can now use the samsung profile :)
