Roku support for video?
If anyone knows how to get my Roku to see my Serviio server, please respond. Many thanks!
My apologies Cerberus; I did actually search before posting, and I did actually see that thread. However, I wasn't concerned with transcoding profiles so much as "can the device see Serviio". I count 10 posts in that thread, none of which say "this won't work". I do see "ah bugger, it threw an error" and "try this instead, tho quality will suck".
I'll make it easy for the next potential customer: don't bother, the Roku isn't DLNA compliant, so it won't work with Serviio or the other DLNA-based servers.
Was that so hard?
Don't worry, I won't darken your forum's door again.

I only posted it because it was stated that it had to be mp4 and thats not true it will handle mov as well but im not sure of the status of on-the-fly for FFMEG for MOV either but something to look at.
And to answer the question no it does not show in the serviio consol.

more info http://www.chaneru.com/DLNA/
