Error 80028801 ps3

Hi,
I get this error on some video files after a random amount of time, I can watch some till the end, and some will end with this. (both same file type)
It always happens at the same position as long as I try the same file, so some files stop after 5minutes, some after 2.. if I try again they will stop at the same point in time.

Anyone knows what to do?


Just tested it with ps3 mediaserver, no problems there :/ i want to use serviio i like the interface so much more

video streams seems corrupted or not codec compliant at these points/positions/times.

Re-encode your original file
Do you have latest PS3 firmware?

Does the "point" occurred at the 2Gb point?
When you use FFWD, could you pass through the point without problem?

What is the movie format? please provide "ffmpeg -i" result.
You could try this tool MPEG4 Modifier and "unpack" your file if its a mp4.

Yes PS3 Media Server is transcoding the file, it's a mkv
I have lates Firmware and a fixed IP on my PS3, Profile is PS3 for this IP in Serviio (preconfigured)
The file is <2GB (about 1,2 gb)

the tool only supports avi and divx files, not mkv

I think ps3 media server is only unpacking the mkv, since my server is low end and can't transcode & stream HD I think (intel atom 1,6ghz)

Could you try TsMuxer tools and remux video and audio into a *.ts transport stream file?

also try to rename the stf file that Serviio produces during transcode to .mpg, add it to your library and try to play it natively to see if it fails at the same point

I've started the movie at my ps3, it hangs after 5sec
Then I've waited at my server until the ffmpeg.exe killed itself (so hes ready with transcoding) and copied the ~1,1gb file to an extra folder.
Ive deleted my whole library out of serviio and only added that one folder with the transcoded file and the .mpg extension and forced a refresh
now it hangs @ checking for new files :/

ah he finished and when i play the file with my ps3 it hangs with the same error at the same position

Could you try to remux the original mkv file into a new mkv file with mkvmerge tool?

that should get fixed during ffmpeg remuxing. It seems a combination of things, but not sure how to fix it.

I've downloaded the newest version of ffmpeg from http://ffmpeg.org/ and replaced it with the one in the package. It seems to work now

Ok I've got now a ton of other problems with the new ffmpeg, serviio doesnt play a lot of files and can't scan for new files anymore.
I've downloaded the windows build here http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/ and just replaced the old exe, have I done something wrong?
At least I can watch all files he scaned before I swaped the files

Could you enable detailed logging (see signature), find the ffmpeg command line used, and try locally in windows console the same command line and post here the result?

I've tested around and the problem is the serviio ffmpeg version. I've opted via PM for the beta to test it with a newer version hopefuly I can give some feedback
