Would this not be possible to do server side? The server already stores the last played video. Would it not be possible to also store the time the video was stopped? If so, a "resume" folder could be shown and if one chooses a file in that folder the server would start at the resume point.

I have no idea how much work this would be, but it would be a very, very useful feature since it is very common to stop watching a move in order to do something else (watch a normal tv transmission perhaps) and then return to continue the movie. To my knowledge most television sets don't support this client side.

no this is renderers job to control and not serviio.

No it is not possible or no you don't think it is a good idea? If the latter, could you please motivate why so that I can understand? It is one thing to say that it is the renders job, but a lot of renderers don't handle this!

:| No it is not possible. all serviio does if offer the files up to the renderer and its the renderers job to allow you to control what is being supplied by serviio.
