Trouble connecting to PS3

I have a network that is setup in the following manner:

PC1 --- Switch1 --- Switch 2 --- Switch 3 --- PS3 (wirelessly)

I am trying to setup Serviio on PC1 and have been having some difficulty seeing the PS3 from Serviio (and vice versa). The TV that is hooked up to Switch 2 (hard wired) sees Serviio, and when I tried another computer running Serviio hooked up to Switch 3 (wirelessly), the PS3 saw that configuration's Serviio, but I haven't been able to make the setup above work (which is the current iteration that I'm trying for...).

I've read through all the FAQ's and such, and I'm still a bit at a loss. Anyone have any thoughts that might be able to help me troubleshoot through this?

(And the log):

Re: Trouble connecting to PS3

I was able to troubleshoot a bit and have determined that when the PS3 (or my laptop) are connected to the same switch/access point, they can see serviio, but when they are connected to another switch, they cannot. I don't know if this information helps to any degree, but it seemed like it might provide some information to further isolate the issue.

Thanks.

Re: Trouble connecting to PS3

What are the IP addresses when everything is connected like the 1st post?

Do you have a DHCP server?

Re: Trouble connecting to PS3

The DHCP server is actually upstream from switch 2. It is a FIOS Router, which handles internet, all the streaming to TV's, etc for the FIOS functionality. The IP's are as follows:

Router, Cable Modem, etc: 192.168.1.1

(This is plugged into switch 2) Dlink DGS1008G

The TV is plugged into switch 2: TV: 192.168.1.5

Switch 1 is also plugged into switch 2:

Switch 1 (DLink DIR655 w/ DHCP off): 192.168.1.3

PC1 (Win 7, 64 bit, the media server with Serviio is plugged in there): 192.168.1.10 (was .101, but I updated it to .10)

Switch 3 is plugged into another port of Switch 2:

Switch 3 (DLink DIR655 w/ DHCP off): 192.168.1.2

The PS3 is wirelessly connected to this switch.

PS3: 192.168.1.7

I have a laptop that I can roam with, and when I connect it to switch 1 wirelessly, I can see Serviio. When I connect to switch 3, I can't. I haven't tried connecting the PS3 to switch 1 yet, but I can only assume it'd work... So it's clearly some network issue, but I'm at a bit of a loss...

Re: Trouble connecting to PS3

Check and see if the switches have UPNP options? Some routers and switches do. You might have to enable, or disable it depending on the device.

Re: Trouble connecting to PS3

Both of the switches had UPNP enabled previously, but upon disabling the option on both switches, I was talking to all devices across all routers... That was the golden ticket. I appreciate the help very much.

And to the devs (if you come across this thread), this is a fabulous app, very seemless and simple (with the exception of some kind of wonky network troubleshooting that may not have been any direct biproduct of the application).

Thanks again.

Re: Trouble connecting to PS3

That is one of the biggest problems with DLNA to many devices have to work properly.
