Start streaming at different point of times

Hi,

I am using Serviio to stream movies to my Philips TV. On thing is very annoying: it takes ages to 'fast' forward to a specific point in the stream e.g. if you want to resume watching a movie. That's a defect of the TV's firmware of course, but I guess there are other devices with similar problems.

It would be great if Serviio could offer a solution to this problem.

I have seen the following solution implemented in a different media server. The server offers for each movie a folder which contains the movie with starting positions increasing with a predefined interval, i. e. starting at 15 min, 30 min, 45 min and so on.

The solution is on the Samsung TV where the menu provides an option to go to a point in time that is set with the direction buttons. I enhanced that with my Harmony and have buttons set for jump +15 , +5 and -3 minutes so i can go almost any where within an hour with a few buttons: eg 32 minute is +15, +15 +5, -3; 27 minutes is +15, +15 , -3, or I can simply set the time.

Unfortunately, Philips isn't providing anything like that. Only the painfully slow 'fast' forward and backward buttons.
