Serviio is the only server that run on old PC
Hello,
I am using an old Compaq PC as file server in my LAN.
I needed an DLNA server for Samsung Tv 32D5000 to be able to access movies from LAN and I can tell you that Serviio is the only one sw that work on that good old PC.
Configuration:
Intel Pentium 2 - 348Mhz 128Mb Ram, 70Gb HDD with 1.5Tb HDD on USB 2.
XP Pro SP3 - with all unneeded services disabled ( ~37Mb Ram free with Serviio running ).
I just start to play with Serviio online stream and it is great, it work also from my old PC, but now I play & test with my day to day ( old laptop ) Fujitsu Siemens Amilo - Intel Celeron 1.60 Ghz, 1Gb RAM, 74Gb HDD.
Thank you Serviio developers !
p.s.
My sugestion:
- at online source possibility to move sources up/down because for some source it take long time to parse and also some device ( Samsung ) will display on that order and not sorted by name.
