Quick search / Jump to file

hey So i am new to serviio, just installed it a few days ago. I have a Samsung UN55D8000 and I got serviio to work on it. I can view and play all my movies but the problem I am having is that i can't just do a quick jump to a movie. For example, If I wanted to watch the movie The Transporter, I would have to scroll all the way down to it. I can't just type in the movie name or hit a button to take me to all movies starting with T. I am not sure if this is a limitation with serviio or my samsung device. Serviio 6.1 is running on Ubuntu 10.10 going to a D8000 on its latest firmware, with the renderer profile set to Samsung TV / player (C/D-series) I saw in some of the other posts regarding settings in the presentation section, I have everything let to display category. Can anyone help me out? Thanks
Re: Quick search / Jump to file
the device controls the menu and not serviio, you can though use the << and >> buttons on the remote to page up and down the menus.

Sorry What do you mean by JHB50. The fwd/bck buttons do not do anything while browsing through serviio files nor while playing them. I just use the D style keypad on the remote.

JHB50 is a person, and yes during playback they dont work but on the C series they act as page up and down while in the menus, im sure they do to on the D but i suspect the part of the samsung intergration thats broken in 0.6.1 is causing it not to work for u, that why i asked jhb50 to confirm as he has a D series device.
