Re: Can't play old MPG files on Panasonic TV G20

dont worry PMI, hopefully the profile i just posted will work for the 2010 devices as as far as i can tell the only thing their lacking is MKV support, althoguh mean we have now 3 profiles for panasonic TVs but aslong as they work who cares its just a shame i cant use auto detect for them as they all give out same detect string.

Re: Can't play old MPG files on Panasonic TV G20

It's a bit of a pain that Panasonic don't fix this. From what I remember the VT20 (which is the 3D version of the V20) got a firmware upgrade about a year back that added mkv support, but they never added it to the V20 even though essentially it's the same set!

There have been three firmware updates for the V20 since then, and still no MKV support. If this changes I will let you know, but it seems unlikely now...

ok so it just MKV supporttahts lacking great will get the 2010 profile added to next release then so that the 20 device will be supported to, wasnt that an easy fix :)

hehe cool, shame these companies can't keep some standard compatibility across all their devices.

Guess we'll be seeing the 2012 profiles popping up before long!

This works fine with my G20 TV. Thanks Cerberus! :D

Cerberus wrote:ok found issue with the second file after a closer look you can see the first audio track is AC3 with 0 channels now thats not right as it should atleast have 1 channel (mono) so file will need to be remuxed and the ironious ac3 audio tarck removed and then it will play.

Any suggestion on how to perform this pls?
