Dammit, oh well at least it works with TVersity I suppose. Thanks for trying anyway.
Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
I recently installed serviio in my NAS Synology DS411j. It seems to work correctly. but since cclients would be two popcorn (A100 and C200) I can not verify its operation.
Now I use the Syabas DLNA own server Myihome(http://www.popcornhour.com/download/myihome/myihome.html) that works without problems, but only on PC, not the NAS.
Would be useful some sort of log of communication between PC MyHome and popcorn ?
I'm not very expert, but if I would try to indicate how data that help resolve this bug
PD: The server integrated into the NAS works well too, but... how to intercept communications from NAS-popcorn?

Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
also if i remember correctly the servio versio 0.4 something it works with popcorn with the generic profile but without subtitles. from version 0.5 upwards nothing works. but i dont have version 0.4 anymore. where can i download it?
Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
Oh if 0.4 works it should be a pretty easy fix?
Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
It probably is, but I cannot find what that is
Version 0.4 is still on the download server, just change the download link URL

Shall we try packet sniffing with 0.4 then?

Any news on this issue? I have exactly the same problem with my A100. Let us know if there is any way one could help further providing infos ...

zip wrote:thanks, does it work with any other server?
I post because i found a compatible DLNA server with popcorn A110, and it seems that a110 is indeed a dlna compatible device
It is the "wild media server" (wms) and it also suports srt subtitles without transconding.
wms reports the popcorn as dlna 1.0 compatible device.
All the a110 suported formats played well without transonding and with subtitles.
Please take a look http://www.wildmediaserver.com/download.php.
If you want any help ask me.

Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
any news with popcorn support?
Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
I'd really like Popcorn Hour support, I have an A100 and all the other servers I have tried seem to work. The problem is that Serviio seems to be the only one that can read standard release names and then work out the actual film name or the show name and display it grouped by season.
1) Is there any chance of seeing Serviio work with the Popcorn Hour?
2) Does anyone know of another server that can display film/show names in the way that Serviio does?
Thanks!

Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
I noticed that there's athread over at Popcorn Hours forums that probably answered why we haven't been able to get Serviio working with our Popcorn Hours. There's a typo in the uPnP settings.
Syabas probably aren't going to do anything from the looks of the thread, and firmware development for the A100 series has been discontinued. Is there a way for Serviio to ignore or 'hack' the video that it sends to PCH to trick it into believing mkv's are the typo version instead? I think this is how TVersity gets things working.

Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
it should not matter as Serviio never looks at this data anyway. And I assume you cannot play anything, not just mkv, right?

Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
I've been using Serviio 0.6.2 with my PCH-A100 for a while now, and it seems to work OK for me. I use it pretty much just for online live streams.
I have a couple of USB drives connected directly to the PCH for local media. I tried serving local files from Serviio, but Serviio refused to detect 99% of the video files. Out of about 120 videos that I made available to Serviio, it detected only two of them.

Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
Just tried it with some mp3's and yup, doesn't work with those either.
Zip, does Serviio work flawlessly with the WD TV? I might end up getting one of those. And are you planning on including server side search with Serviio? That's a really useful feature from TVersity that I miss when using Serviio.

Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
Hi Zip,
It's not a device feature it's a uPnP server feature. Basically TVersity supports it so I can search for a file via Bubble uPnP on my Android phone/tablet and plat it on my TV. It's the quickest way to access a file as the search is instant. I was very content with my XBMC setup but since discovering the search on TVersity via Bubble I can just play media so much quicker than browsing though menus so I've gone back to my old A-100 since I rarely need to browse.
Bubble can search Serviio but it relies on getting the entire file list and doing a free text search which obviously is no where near as a quick as a native uPnP server side search.
I done a quick google search but can't find any mention of it properly in a spec, only requests for it to be adopted in other uPnP servers!

Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
I'm aware it's a server feature, but the client needs to actually support it too. AFAIK TV devices don't usually support this (probably because it's hard to type), looks like software renderers/controllers might.

Re: 0.6 Doesn't work with Popcorn Hour A100/A210
Serviio might not be able to stream local files to the popcorn hour but it works great for online content - as mentioned by jerseyjoe123. The Hulu plugin is awesome! I'm confused as why you would need Serviio to stream local files anyway?
