Serviio server not showing up on a device after 0.6.2

Hi,

After updating serviio to version 0.6.2, the server is not visible at all to a device I have. It should not be matter of firewall or anything like that since I can access serviio using my computer and XBMC.

Any tips on how to debug this issue?

What are the IP addresses of the server and the affected device? Please attach your serviio.log file.

Thank you. Attached you can find the log file.

I've censored out the library additions and updates.

The ip of the device I'm trying to use to view serviio is 91.154.117.59. I'd rather not reveal the ip of the serviio server. In the logs it is denoted with 91.154.121.xxx. All of the devices are directly connected to internet (bridged connection), and they are in the subnet. I've verified the subnet with the subnet calculator available in http://www.subnet-calculator.com/subnet.php .

As you can see the device (91.154.117.59) is not shown in the logs, though I'm quite that was the case before too.

Can you post how you have gotten it to work over VPN? Alot of people of tried and not that many have gotten it working.

Are all the devices that are seen by serviio on the same IP subnet? Or do they all have different IP subnets?

There is no VPN. All the computers are in the same subnet and no special configuration is necessary.

If you are not on a vpn I do not see how 91.154.117.59 would show up with serviio on 91.154.121.xxx. Change the device to 91.154.121.59 and it should show up.

It is possiable, subnets can be pretty much any size, however, that suggests you own ~1200+ IP addresses, which wouldn't make sense unless your setting this up in a large company. Can you confirm the range of IP address, the subnetmask etc.

If your setting this up at home though, it sounds much more like you have been given a handful of IP address by your ISP that are all over the place.

Re: Serviio server not showing up on a device after 0.6.2

My subnet mask is 255.255.240.0 which indeed means that many computers can be in the same subnet. I checked with the subnet calculator that the computer are indeed in the same subnet (subnet ID of 91.154.112.0). I do not "own" +1200IPs. Instead, as mentioned before, my connection is bridged so that every computer gets an public IP. Currently the IPs are always from the same subnet (though no guarantees are in place of course).

Furthermore, the device I'm experiencing problems with (91.154.117.59) is able to see other computers in my network (I have XBMC UPnP in place). Those other computers can access the serviio content beatifully. I think this proves that the issue is not about the IPs or subnets.

Is there anything I can do? Can I use some tool to provide more information about the device?

The device is "media box" provided by my ISP Elisa here in Finland. I can't see any manufacturer since it is Elisa branded.
