AVI Files play in1/4 second (0.25 second) bursts.

This is a recording made by one of those car video cameras.
It is an HD recording, and plays just fine on my PC.
How can I get it to play nicely via Serviio on my TV? :?

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.
I've followed the link "Provide details of a video file that doesn't play " and then followed the further link on that page "for Windows" and attempted to enter the first command in the DOS window.
It returns the statement "directory not found".
I can upload the clip if that helps, it is only 53MB and should run for 25 seconds.

File path must be under " "
Ffmeg.exe -i "filepath"

What about MediaInfo tools result (in text format) ?

It seems I followed the correct link, "HowTo: Provide details of a video file that doesn't play", but as I've explained, entering the commands shown in the Windows "How to", I cannot get beyond the first command.

Entering "cd "\Program Files\Serviio\lib" returns:-
>>The system cannot find the path specified<<
Of course it can't.....because Serviio is on my "E:\" drive.
trying again but substituting "e", or "ed" in place of "cd" returns:-
>>is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable programme or batch file<<

How do I access Serviio from command line in order to get the information you need?

Could you post your sample file somewhere, that we could analysed?

This is the sample file.
As I say, it plays fine on my PC using "Nero Showtime", but it's unwatchable on my TV via Serviio.

Is there some reason I've not heard back from anyone on this problem? :?
I am aware that this mediafire download is sometimes a bit reluctant, just stopping then refreshing the tab usually persuades it to give up the goods.

Re: AVI Files play in1/4 second (0.25 second) bursts.

I just download it.
ffmpeg.exe -i "P:\Video\Samples\Video\AVI\15- Sample-AVI-PICT0010.avi"
Input #0, avi, from 'P:\Video\Samples\Video\AVI\15- Sample-AVI-PICT0010.avi':
Duration: 00:00:25.59, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 17355 kb/s
Stream #0:0: Video: mjpeg (MJPG / 0x47504A4D), yuvj420p, 1280x720, 30 tbr, 30 tbn, 30 tbc
Stream #0:1: Audio: pcm_s16le ([1][0][0][0] / 0x0001), 44100 Hz, 1 channels, s16, 705 kb/s

This is a HD format of motionJPEG video with uncompress mono Audio.

No sony deviceS support this format, so it will be transcoded.

Its probably very hard for your cpu to provide such HD transcoding.

EDIT: Try to start playing the sample, press pause, wait few minutes (transcoding is in progress in background), then press play, playback will be more "fluid".
