Streaming Files From PC To TV In Bedroom

Hope I'm posting this in the right place!

I use Serviio to send my audio and Video files to my Sony Bravia TV just fine (thanks to some help off this forum). The PC is linked to my router by cable and then from the router to the Sony by cable. The router is also wireless and we connect various laptops and mobile phones to it from around the house

What I would also like to do is to be able to send the media from my PC to the TV in the bedroom. The TV has an HDMI connection but no USB connection.

I am thinking of a media server (something like this one http://wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=330).

As an alternative - I am thinking of dipping my toe into the Android tablet market- even the cheaper ones (sub £100) all seem to have wifi and a HDMI port so I was wondering whether I'd be able to use a tablet in conjunction with Serviio to get the media onto the bedroom TV?

Hope that description is clear enough. any thoughts /experiences would be greatly appreciated

You should be able to just connect the WDTV Live to the bedroom tv via HDMI and then the WDTV can see the Serviio. Or am I missing something here?

Yes, I realise that the WD unit would give me that but the question really was - would I be able to achieve much the same thing with an Android tablet as the tablet would have a lot more other uses
