Library Has Duplicate Files - How Do I Clean?

I have a new install of Serviio on my XP laptop, however quite a few folders, movies & series are duplicated - how do I clean these out.

e.g. I have my movies in Folders A-Z, serviio has two B folders. The first contains a single movie which is duplicated in the second B folder.

Serviio may have been shutdown before it had finished scanning, could this be the cause?
Does serviio check for duplicates i.e. folders/files at the same location?

I have xbmc metdata selected.

I'll check. You can try to remove the B folder from your library, refesh, wait 1 hour and add it again.

Ok I'll try that & report back in 1.5hrs... (btw what is the 1hr period you refer to....I have the refresh set to 15mins....)

BTW here is a part of my log files, i see a lot of duplication here.....

My initial test was from a local drive....

Once I had the permissions set I removed the local drive reference & replaced it with \\Nas02\videos\movies, part of the log is below....

I may need to delete the library & point it to the 'B' folder I moved, just to see the log for just a few files.....if so...
I'm going to install Serviio on my PC (rather than my laptop which I have to VNC into...) & test with just the 'B' folder & report back...

Update:
Laptop Installation - moved "b" to a different folder, just checked after 1hr 10 minutes, & both 'b's are gone...good.

PC Installation - Install fresh Serviio & pointed to the moved 'b' folder, appears fine! Note that I have left the metadata settings at default i.e. no xbmc nfo's....
set metadata to xbmc, pressed 'Rescan Meta Data' - still good no duplicates

Laptop Installation - removed movies, waited till movies were removed from database, add 'b' folder with XBMC metadata - all good.
Removed 'b' & 'tv', waited for them to be gone, readded movie & tv ......will post result after full scan has completed.

When using an XBMC format for the source files, the movie.jpg is in the format movie.tbn - is there an easy way to get serviio to use these jpg files?

NOt unless you rename them. But there is an open ticket to support these.

Hi,

I am also having the same problem. I've tried Serviio web interface, ServiiGo and Avia They all show duplicate music files. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the server few time with no luck. I am using Serviio ver 1.4.1 with windows 7.
