New Serviio console won't scan my files

I have Serviio installed on a Diskstation DS212+ and the console service on my PC.

I upgraded to Serviio 1.0.010 after the previous version stopped working. I've managed to get the console running on my PC and the TV sees the Serviio server and any directories I add to the library, but no files show up and I don't think any of the directories are being scanned. If I press "force refresh" then check status, the status lights remain red. It's many hours since I added the folders so it's not a question of waiting for the library to build. All the media tick boxes are filled in.

Since the same folders and files worked with the previous version, which had the console on the NAS as well as the server, I'm wondering if the problem is scanning (or rather not scanning) a remote device. The folders look like this in the console /volume1/homes/serviio/\\DISKATATION\Multimedia. Is that how it should look? I don't know how else to add the folders.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think the path is right. You have to add it by using Add Path button - and the path should be the same as if you were on the NAS. Patters might help you or check his blog.

Re: New Serviio console won't scan my files

I have the same exact problem. After upgrading serviio to 1.3.1 version my network library won't scan. It only shows the files located on my pc but not the network files.I have not change the directory folders. I tried to fix it by deleting the network directory folders and reentering again but the problem still exists. I had this problem in the past after I updated the serviio and I believe I had to re install serviio from the scratch.
Is there any way I can prevent re installing the application?

If you are on Windows, you might have to change the user the service runs under, to have access to the remote files. See FAQ.

Re: New Serviio console won't scan my files

I have the same problem as 1st poster (volume1/homes...) and I have no idea why the path is renamed. TV is finding Serviio but folder dont contain anything
Have a synology NAS 214se with Serviio installed on it and have the console running on Win7.
Library status have red dots as well...

With AV Media controller I can locate Serviio and locate the folders path added in the console, but it doesnt link back to (show the same items) the origial folder on NAS.
