Ubuntu Server: folder to installation and configuration file

Hi,

In Ubuntu Server, what's the best folder to put serviio file ? /usr/bin ?

And, where is the conf file for set, for example, the language and the film folder ?

thank you

Re: Ubuntu Server: folder to installation and configuration

Well it has more than just executables, so /usr/local/serviio might be more appropriate, not that it really matters.

No conf file, you use a console to configure everything. If your server is headless then you can install a webui (see third party section at bottom of forum), or install just the console on your computer and connect to your server from there (read the FAQ), or if you have an android device, use my app ServiiDroid.

Re: Ubuntu Server: folder to installation and configuration

Hi,

thank you for the response !

So, I have build this folder with the latest version of Serviio and Plugin for web ui; http://d.pr/f/kTPe and put in /usr/bin

I have created the script (Upstart): https://bitbucket.org/kairoh/serviio-webui/wiki/FAQ

I go to http://192.168.1.9:8123/serviio/console but the page don't work !

What's the problem ?
